Vadra, who represents Kerala’s Wayanad parliamentary constituency, referring to the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, said there should be discussion on important issues concerning the public. “There are elections in Delhi. There should be discussion on important issues,” the Congress parliamentarian said.
The former BJP faced massive backlash from the Congress after a purported video on social media had shown him stating that he would make all the roads in Kalkaji like the “cheeks of Priyanka Gandhi” if BJP comes to power in the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi.
Notably, the Delhi Youth Congress staged a protest outside the residence of Bidhuri over his remarks on Vadra, here on Monday. Members of the youth wing of the Congress party shouted slogans while holding aloft placards against Bidhuri. They also blackened the gate of his residence and wrote ‘anti-woman’ on it.
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the Congress students’ wing, also staged a nationwide protest on Monday, calling for immediate action against Bidhuri.
